Clay and Gill's Biography
Both Clay and Gill were born in South Africa and moved to Canada more than 35 years ago. Growing up in the rural areas of Rhodesia, now called Zimbabwe they began a lifelong appreciation of nature. Upon graduating Clay joined the Government Veterinary Department, while Gill began a career in photofinishing. In the late 60's their paths crossed and after marrying, Clay decided to leave the Veterinary Department so that they could pursue ranching. For many years Clay ran a 25,000 acre cattle and game ranch in Rhodesia that provided the perfect location to observe nature at close quarters.
The evolution of Digital Photography gave new impetus to their desire to capture the world around them. North America opened up new subject matter and striking vistas. Their past and present life in rural Alberta led to the development of CGI Photography and this website.
